Entertainment News Case filed against NTK leader Seeman after argument at press meet, journalist alleges assault during removal by party cadres – Tamil Nadu News

A press briefing by Naam Thamizhar Katchi (NTK) leader Seeman in Tamil Nadu on Sunday took an ugly turn after an argument with a journalist escalated, leading to the reporter being allegedly removed forcibly from the venue.

The confrontation began when Tamil channel reporter Raju questioned Seeman on issues related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) project and the Union government’s rejection of the Metro Project Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for Madurai and Coimbatore.

Seeman’s response soon turned heated, with the exchange escalating into an argument.

At one point, Seeman appeared to lose his temper and spoke in a disrespectful manner, according to those present.

Following the altercation, NTK cadres reportedly dragged Raju out of the press meet. During the scuffle, he was injured on his neck.

A case has now been registered against Seeman and three others based on a complaint filed by the reporter from Kalaignar TV.

The FIR invokes various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Authorities are investigating the incident.
