On 04 February 2022 (Friday), the Allahabad High Court decided to resume hybrid hearing both at Allahabad and Lucknow with effect from 07 February 2022 (Monday).
The Notification issued by the Registrar states-
The Hon’ble Court has passed the following Order dated 04.02.2022 (Friday) regarding functioning of High Court, Allahabad & Lucknow Bench –
That the mode of hearing in the High Court, both at Allahabad and Lucknow, be switched over to hybrid mode from virtual mode W.e.f. Monday, ie. 07.02.2022. subject to other COVID-19 protocols, including restrictions on entry of Clerks of Advocates and Litigants other than those whose personal presence has been directed by an order of the Court. It be further ensured that at a time, there should not be more than 10 Advocates inside the Court Room.
Earlier at the start of this year, the High Court opted for only Virtual Hearing mode, however the same was taken back considering the protest by lawyers.
Thereafter the hybrid hearing was opted. However, due to the sudden rise of COVID cases in the Uttar Pradesh and also in the High Court staff, it was decided to hold hybrid hearing.
